We attended the funeral of Brian Camp. Brian is a relative of Colin's. Colin's mum's family history (like many others) is confusing at times. Brian was Brenda's nephew, son of her "sister" May and her husband Kingsley, but biologically Brian was her cousin - complicated I know - won't go into all that now.
The service was held at St Giles Church in Sheldon where Brian was the Rector. He died rather suddenly of Sepsis in Good hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield on September 1st.

We then made our way to the Yardley Cemetary where Brian was cremated.
I'm pretty certain that was also where my paternal grandfather, (Edward) Eric Hill was cremated. I must check with my dad. He passed away in 1987, when I was 14.
Sophie came back from school with one of my work colleagues, for which I was very grateful. It was a bit of a rush for Colin to get ready for work, but he managed to do so. We managed to grab a bite to eat at the Harvester in Sheldon on the way back home. Brenda and Rochelle travelled with us, with Carolyn and Keith meeting us there.
Inbetween collecting Josh from Ollie's house, preparing dinner, taking Sophie and Ethan to FIG, and trying to play catch up on chores that are awaiting completion, I am taking 5 minutes to record the events of today and hope to be a little more dilligent in this task. Time passes by so fast and I don't want to miss the chance to have something to look back on to mark this time, today.....
