Post-Preston Trip

Last Saturday we went to Preston Temple as a whole family unit to support our ward temple day. We had a good turnout. Sophie was involved in a primary activity whilst the rest of us went to the baptistry. The boys each performed 10 baptisms and confirmations. A wonderful spirit felt there by all.... Prom...

Last night Ethan attended his BMS Prom.... 

Had a great time - was transported there with some of his friends by limo.

The past four years have flown by - Good luck Ethan and all Y8 leavers - best wishes as you start the next phase of your journey.

Summer Holidays officially start

Officially finished work today for the Six-week Summer break.... And what a scorcher of a day to finish on. Thunder storms during the night and highs of 24degC - according to google result - I'm sure it's been higher. Colin currently at work and posted a photo on Facebook earlier from his truck registering 32degC!

We're in for a hot, sticky night!

House seems quiet tonight - Josh out, Ethan at his friend, Will's and Colin doing some overtime.

Sophie & Ethan don't break up until Tuesday - the same as BFS. I just don't work Mondays or Tuesdays!

We're off to the South coast for a week and then Colin & I are taking a trip to Switzerland for five days whilst Josh & Ryan are at FSY and Ethan is at Bee-Con Camp....Sophie will spend some time with my mum and her cousins Ashleigh and Charley.

Visit from the Stewarts

Have just said goodbye to my wonderful Uncle Martyn aka Woodpecker and his lovely Aussie wife Roo.

Went out for a meal and reminisced. Love when we get time to catchup. Martyn has been over in the UK attending the Cheltenham Festival where he had collaborated on a piece of music with Bernie Krause - using some of his sound recordings. They fly back to Seattle on Thursday....

Technology is great

Just found an app for my iPhone, so keeping up to date should be soooo much easier ... :)

Off to Preston this weekend - all of us!! Photo opportunity, I hope, for a family shot?!?

Just going in the one car. Josh passed his test 6 months exactly after his 17th birthday. Turned 18 in June and recently driving his first car, a Nissan Almera - he's loving it!

Scary for us as parents but I'm getting better (maybe!?!)

Ryan finished his GCSEs and awaiting his results - hoping to go to NEW College (Bromsgrove) in September to study Art & Design.

Ethan getting set to move to High School (Trinity). Transitions days are Wednesday and Thursday this week. His new class will be 9LFR (Mr Roberts). He has prom on the 21st - Ryan decided last minute(ish) not to go to his - said his closest friends weren't going.

Sophie will be on her own at Birchensale come September but will be moving up to Y7.

They are all growing up so fast.....
