Today Josh went to his first YM Camp. This is being held at Blackwell Court - a Scout Camp about 10 minutes from our home.

He has been looking forward to this for a long time. I have the great honour of preparing the evening meal for the group of Deacon-aged Youth and their Leaders. He is really enjoying being part of the Youth Programme. A couple of weeks ago we attended the Preston Temple as a family and Josh was given the opportunity of performing baptisms for the first time - it was all the more special as he was able to do this on behalf of some of our family members. The baptims were performed by Colin & witnessed by Ray. Both my mum and Colin's mum were there too.

Back from Newcastle

Last week spent some time in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. We were accompanied by Colin's parents, Ray & Brenda, who are originally from the area but moved down to Redditch over 50 years ago.

Whilst there we were able to catch up with some of our extended family.

We all had a wonderful time either reminiscing or just having fun being together.
